State Auditor Rob Sand released a 2022 audit report on Dallas County.
Dallas County revenues totaled $51,345,489 for the year ending June 30th, 2022 which was a 1.1-percent increase over the previous year. The County expenses totaled $40,954,793 over the same period which was a 2.9-percent increase over the previous year.
The increase in revenue was due to an increase in local option sales tax revenue which was offset due to an increase in unrealized loss on investments. The decrease in expenses was primarily due to the new law enforcement center, which opened in the fiscal year 2022.
