The Greene County Community Foundation invites everyone to their grant award ceremony this weekend.

The non-profit organization will hold its annual program this Sunday at 4pm at the Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. GCCF President Karen Shannon tells Raccoon Valley Radio they had 32 organizations that submitted a grant application with a total of $412,352 of requests. She says they selected 24 to fund, including 19 that were fully funded projects and five that were partially funded, for a total of $214,903. Shannon adds they used their allocation of $150,000 from Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation and $64,903 from their endowment fund.

The community foundation handled grant applications of less than $35,000, while Grow Greene County, the non-profit gaming license holder of Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson, took care of projects that were $35,000 or more.

Sunday’s program is free and open to the public.
