Tuesday, March 21st
12:53am: During a Traffic Stop in the 1800 Block of North Mulberry Street, the officer arrested the driver. Devin Julian Villalobos, 21 of Jefferson was arrested for, “Driving While Revoked – Serious.”
2:39am: An officer located an Open Door at 100 North Elm Street and contacted a keyholder to secure the business.
3:27am: Lori Wheeler advised of a dead deer in the roadway on 220th Street, west of Jefferson. The officer passed the information to a deputy.
6:36am: Ashley Spaulding requested an officer at 708 West Harrison, to remove an unwanted subject. The subject had left before the officer arrived.
8:47am: An officer assisted the code Enforcement Officer in towing a vehicle from 507 West Lincoln Way Street.
1:31pm: Janice Napolitano reported Barking Dogs near 1201 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer checked the area several times, but did not hear the animals.
3:26pm: Mary Pat Burke reported a Stray Dog near Locust and Monroe Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.
3:46pm: Pat Ruhnke reported a scam email. She was advised of a problem with her computer and money was requested to fix the issue. She ended the call and did not incur a loss.
6:06pm: An officer investigated an accident at Vine and Clark Streets. A 2015 Chevrolet Trax, owned and operated by Richard Burk of DSM, was northbound on Vine Street. A 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, owned and operated by Amber Reed of Grinnell, was eastbound on Clark Street. The vehicles collided in the intersection. Both vehicles had airbags deploy and were a total loss. Reed was cited for, “Fail to Yield to the Right.”
6:19pm: A caller visited with an officer about options to get a family member to mental health evaluations. The officer gave some advice.
10:30pm: An officer arrested Jessie James Sanders, 21 of Jefferson, at 302 North Oak Street. Sanders had an outstanding arrest Warrant for, “Fail to Appear on Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana 1st Offense – Serious.
