After a successful fundraiser that was held just this past week for one organization, another is hoping to help another group out.

The First United Methodist Church in Jefferson is hosting a fundraiser meal for the Webb House. The free-will donation meal includes lasagna, salad, bread and bars that will be served from 11am-12:30pm on Sunday. 

Webb House Organizer Jim North says their fundraiser they held to donate to the Greene County Middle School to purchase outdoor games and equipment was an overall success last weekend. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about 110 middle school students participated and were supervised by eight middle school staff as chaperones. He says they did something similar about six years ago and raised just over $200. 

Sunday’s meal is either dine-in or carry out. Anyone wanting a carry out meal can contact the church at 515-386-4411 with the time of when the meal is needing to be picked up and how many meals will be purchased.
