The sport of bowling will be added to the athletics offerings at Greene County High School next school year. The Board of Education approved the addition of bowling teams for girls and boys during the 2023-24 school year.

Activities Director Dave Wright told Raccoon Valley Radio that bowling is a Winter sport and the girls and boys compete on separate teams, but they share the same season. He added a schedule is being put together and the search for a coaching staff is underway.

Coach Wright added, “We conducted a survey of students and the results showed more than enough were interested in being a Ram bowler on both the girls and boys teams. The results of the survey also indicated a number of those interested are not in another Winter sport, or perhaps not currently on any of our athletic teams, so this is another opportunity for our students to be involved.”
