Perry and ADM Will Represent Well At Individual State Speech Competition

Multiple Dallas County high schools will represent well at the Iowa High School Speech Association State Contest.

Adel-DeStoto-Minburn High School had 11 entries qualify for the state individual speech contest by receiving a Division-1 rating. Those acts fall into the categories of prose, poetry, lit program, original oratory and after dinner speaking.

Perry High School will send 12 entries that received a Division1-rating and will make their way to the state individual speech contest. There were a wide variety of categories the BluJay’s qualified in that include spontaneous speaking, literary program, musical theater and poetry, storytelling, review and prose, radio and after dinner speaking.

Iowa High School Speech Association State Individual Contest will take place today at Ames High School. The names of those who earned a qualifying spot will be listed below.
