Kenneth Baatz, age 63 of Perry, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home in Perry. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Dallas Township Cemetery near Dawson, IA. Kenneth Edwin Baatz was born on September 4, 1959, in Verdun, France to Leon Jacob and Melba Mary (Kelsey) Baatz. He graduated from Perry High School with the class of class of 1977, and then went to Drake University. He worked at Radio Shack as manager for years, Diamler Trucking, Office Max in West Des Moines, FedEx in Grimes, and Hy Vee in Perry.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

In death he rejoins his parents, Leon, and Melba Baatz.

Left to cherish Kenneth’s memory are his sister Kathleen (Ron) Ferneau, Urbandale, IA and several nieces and nephews.
