The indoor track & field seasons for the Greene County girls and boys are underway and there’s not much time between the first and second meets. The A.D. Dickinson Relays inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on the U. of Northern Iowa campus were held on Monday for girls and Tuesday for boys. Tomorrow is the Iowa High School Girls State Indoor Championships inside the Lied Recreation Center in Ames at Iowa State University. The boys indoor State Indoor meet is this Friday, also in the Lied Center at ISU.
The Dickinson Relays had no team score and were contested all in one class. The Indoor State competitions will be broken into the four classes of competition used during the outdoor season, 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A. Greene County is in 2A and the girls will start competition at 9 a.m. tomorrow and the boys at 9 a.m. on Friday. The 1A and 2A teams are in the morning with 3A and 4A competition in the afternoons and evenings.
