The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team was competing in the 2A bracket at the State Tournament on Wednesday.

The Panthers had their work cut out for them. The Central Lyon Lions came into the game with a perfect 22-0 record. They also competed in the Class 2A Championship last year.

The game started fast for the Lions. They jumped out to a 15-5 lead after the first quarter. Central Lyon kept the pressure on in the second quarter, outscoring Panorama 19-7 giving them a 34-12 lead at the break.

The Lions dominate offensive production came from Addison Klosterbuer, she posted 30 points on the day. Desta Hoogendoorn also had a great day posting 14 points and 9 rebounds. Central Lyon’s defense made it hard for Panorama to get anything going. The Panthers were 12-47 shooting and 0-13 from beyond the arc. Central Lyon would take this one 66-30.

The Panthers will end the season 22-3 overall and 14-1 in West Central Activities Conference. The good news for Panorama is that their starting five were all juniors and will be returning next year.
