Third District Iowa Congressman, Republican Zach Nunn, demands that there be a better course of action when supporting Ukraine in their war against Russia.
Nunn tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Russia needs to be met with force or they will continue to be an aggressor but he has a concern that this will become an endless war. He says that the United States cannot keep supporting Ukraine with billions of dollars of military equipment if there is no solution to the war.
“So this is my request to the President (Joe Biden) before we spend another dollar in Ukraine we have got to know what the end date looks like. How do we help the Ukrainian people, how to bring down the cost of everything from wheat to fertilizer that have a direct impact on folks here in Iowa in a way that enables them to be successful against Russia but not in a way that is a slow bleed that does not help the US national security.”
Nunn says that the leaders in the White House have failed to communicate a desired outcome in this conflict. Nunn supports putting pressure on Russia both diplomatically and militarily but mentions that it is Ukraine’s war to fight.
