There were four seniors on the 2022-23 Greene County High School girls basketball team. Head coach Tori Ogden told Raccoon Valley Radio she saw improvement in these girls during the two seasons she’s been here, and credits the senior class with keeping the team together through an 0-20 start. The Rams went 1-21 on the season and their lone victory came in the regular season finale vs. Saydel at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The seniors are Ashlynn Hinners, Emma Hoyle, Alexa Peters, and Kamryn Sanders.
The team averaged 23.6 points per game and turned the ball over more than 27 times per contest on average. The team shooting percentage was 22.6% overall, 17.2% from three-point range, and 46.4% from the free throw line. Hoyle led the team in scoring at 5.6 points per game. Sanders led the team in rebounds by a wide margin at seven per contest.
