Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers basketball will be returning to the court tonight in Class 3A – Substate 1 semifinal action, as the Tigers will be taking on the Webster City Lynx on the road. The Tigers come in with a 11-11 record while Webster City has put together a great year and are currently 17-3.
The Tigers are coming off of a 42-37 win vs. Denison-Schleswig, while Webster City was able to barely survive against the eight seed Gilbert, winning 63-60.
Both teams are similar in shooting the basketball, with ADM and Webster City both shooting in the mid 40% range, three point percentage in the mid 30s, and free throw shooting in the high 50s.
Depth also could play a factor in this game, with ADM having the ability to go 8-9 deep, while the Lynx have a terrific starting five but only have a 6-7 man rotation.
The Tigers will have to be smart with the basketball, find a major game from their stars, and play with poise in what is anticipated to be traditionally a tough environment to play in.
You can listen to the game on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. Tip time will be at 7 pm, with pregame coverage to begin around 6:45 pm. Weather could potentially play a factor in the game, and Raccoon Valley Radio will keep you posted on any postponements regarding the game.
