One US Representative has several concerns with the latest Chinese Surveillance Balloon that was spotted in the air above Montana and later destroyed
Congressman for Iowa’s Third District Zach Nunn says that he is unsettled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) not alerting American intel agencies that they were invading our airspace without consent along with lying about their actions. Nunn tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he is also frustrated with the Department of Defense’s inability to swiftly act on this situation
“I’ve asked the Department of Defense to provide Congress with a classified briefing, as well as a declassified listing of information we can share with Iowans and Americans on what is the threat? How do we deter or destroy that threat, and how are we moving forward with China to hold them accountable so they don’t feel emboldened that they can enter US airspace and spy on US citizens?”
Nunn adds that he has voted for two pieces of legislation that holds the CCP accountable by prohibiting the sale of the strategic petroleum reserve sales to China and a bill that aims to ban the CCP from purchasing agricultural real estate in the United States.
