Jefferson area youth are invited to a free event next week at the Jefferson Public Library.
Monday, February 27th is Pokemon Day and the youth services department has two different sessions to celebrate from 4-6pm. Kids who are in kindergarten through 4th grade can go on a Pokemon scavenger hunt in the library and participants can design their own Pokemon character. Youth who are in fifth through eighth grade can do a Pokemon card swap with other Pokemon fans and a craft of make-your-own Pokeball.
Kids and teens who participate will also enter a drawing for prizes. Registration is required and the deadline to sign up is this Saturday. Library staff reminds parents and guardians of children under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult at all times at the library.
