The Dallas County Extension and Outreach Office has recently welcomed a new member to their team.
Pearl Jones is now serving as the new youth coordinator for Dallas County. Jones grew up with a passion for 4-H and agriculture in south central Iowa and graduated from Interstate-35 High School before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in general agriculture from West Texas A&M University, where she also served as the president of the agribusiness club. She talks about her excitement to get the fair season going for Dallas County.
“I’m super excited to start kind of diving into the fair stuff. I think that the fair is a great way for the 4-H kids to show off all their exhibits. They’ve been working super hard all year, so I think it’ll be a great time.”
Jones started in January of 2022 and will be responsible for collaborating with 4-H students and promoting county and extension programs.
