Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball team entered Tuesday nights game against North Polk on a two game winning streak but that Comets would play well on the road.

The DCG would fall to North Polk at home by a score of 51 to 49 and fall to (11-9) on the season. The Mustangs would race out to a 19 to 12 first quarter lead but would let it slip and trail at half 26 to 32.  Dallas Center-Grimes would outscore the Comets in the second half but it wasn’t enough. Jonathan Howard scored 15 points and hit three 3 pointers and Hudson Ehlert provided 10 points. North Polk’s Reggie Postel was a tough matchup for the Mustangs and he scored 12 points.

Dallas Center-Grimes will look to respond against another Raccoon River Conference opponent against Ballard on Thursday.
