Greene County 4-H’ers who are graduating from high school this May are reminded of a scholarship opportunity.
The Greene County 4-H Foundation Scholarship is for any graduating Greene County or Paton-Churdan high school seniors. Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says the applications for this scholarship are available at either high school’s main office with the other scholarship opportunities for seniors. She adds the funding for these scholarships comes from donations and fundraisers for the Greene County 4-H Foundation.
“We usually do two $1,000 scholarships but we do have quite a few seniors graduating this year and they have all been great leaders in the community, so it is a possibility that we would be willing to do three $1,000 scholarships this year.”
The deadline to submit an application is March 3rd to either the Greene County or Paton-Churdan High School main office or by emailing Hardaway at hardaway@iastate.edu.
