As the basketball regular season is coming to a close, Dallas Center-Grimes will face off against Pella Christian for their last road game of the schedule.
(16-3) Dallas Center-Grimes girls can lock up the Little Hawkeye league championship with a victory over the (4-16) Pella Christian Eagles tonight. This will be the second matchup between these teams and in the first game DCG got the lopsided win 62 to 23, holding the Eagles to just 23 total points and Joslyn Terpstra scored 14 points. Emma Miner and Finley Fitzgerald both played incredibly well in that game scoring a combined 32 points. They have also been fantastic on the road with an (9-0) record and will look to keep their winning streak alive. Tip-off is scheduled at 6:15pm in Pella.
(9-7) Dallas Center-Grimes boys basketball team will be looking to end a three game losing streak against Pella Christian, who sits 2.5 games in front of the Mustangs in the conference standings. DCG is coming off over two losses where started off with big leads against Norwalk and Indianola but weren’t to hold those in the end. They lost to Pella Christian at home in early January 57 to 68. The Eagles in that game shot 50-percent from the field and 50-percent from the three-point line. Mustangs will have to play better defense and limit that shooting percentage for a chance to end their losing streak.
Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast both games on our website under the KDLS-2 tab.
