A reminder that today Greene County and Paton-Churdan will be competing at the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Contest.

Greene County Junior Nathan Ausberger is in short film about a concept of the “mobius strip” and he talks about editing their recording following the judge’s feedback from districts.

“We just edited and changed some stuff that we were critiqued on and like definitely added some stuff we thought would be necessary to make the film better in general. But in general we kept like the same overall movie.”

Greene County Senior Allee Hinote describes what she is looking forward to the most in her final year for large group speech.

“I would say the thing I’m most excited to see is just the other groups perform. It’s fun when you’re up there and performing sometimes, but I just enjoy watching other peoples’ things go because they’re really talented.” 

Both Greene County and Paton-Churdan are at Waukee High School. The All-State announcements will be made Monday afternoon. A full list of the students and what they are performing in can be found below.
