The Dallas Center-Grimes girls basketball got off to a slow start against a conference opponent but it didn’t matter in the end Tuesday.

In the first quarter, the Norwalk Warriors took it to the Mustangs and grabbed the lead 12 to 11. That would quickly change in the second with a 23 to 12 quarter to take a lead at half 34 to 24. DCG would excel their lead in the third only allowing five points while scoring 25 and cruise to their 11th conference victory with the final score of 75 to 40. Finley Fitzgerald would lead all scorers with 16 points and Emma Miner and Vanessa Bickford would add 12. The Mustangs can officially clinch the outright regular season conference championship on Friday night against Indianola. They have a 2 game lead in the standings over Grinnell with two games left.
