There are several activities going on with the Greene County Historical Society in the next few days.
Member Chuck Offenburger says the historical society will be highlighting the City of Churdan during its monthly meeting and event tomorrow.
He states that on Friday at 1pm at the Churdan United Methodist Church, a program of the City’s history will be conducted by Churdan resident Paul White. He will also share his over 3,000-item collection of Churdan memorabilia at his museum on the north side of Main Street in the City.
White says he’s been collecting items with Churdan written on them for 40-years and will be giving the group a private tour of his museum following his program at the church.
During the day on Friday, Paton-Churdan principal Ann Smith will be giving public tours of their school building. The event is free and open to the public.
Then, starting this Saturday, the Greene County Historical Museum will be open for its summer hours from 9am-noon on Saturdays and 1-5pm on Wednesday through September or by appointment.
