Perry High School students will be getting all dressed up for the annual spring formal tradition of prom this weekend.

This year’s theme is Lost Island and the public is invited to check out the grand march at 6pm Saturday in the Perry Performing Arts Center.

Prom is a fun and exciting time for teens but the Perry Crime Stoppers and Perry Police Department are also concerned with safety and ensuring that everyone is making smart decisions.

The dangers of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol are particular high on prom night and the goal is to prevent injury and death.

The Crime Stoppers are offering a $500 reward for information identifying locations of anywhere underage drinking is occurring this weekend.  A significant reward is also available to anyone who can help identify individuals who are providing alcohol to minors.
