A Boone man was recently arrested for having a weapon inside the Dallas County Jail. 

According to court documents, Dallas County Jail staff transported Trystin Bettazza from Boone at 9:13pm on December 21, 2022 to the Dallas County Jail.  Jail staff later advised that Bettazza was in possession of a utility blade in his coin pocket when he was brought to jail. Bettazza was charged with a Class C Felony for possession of a weapon in a correctional facility and a misdemeanor for interference with official acts.  Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
