Dallas Center-Grimes is riding high after two successful boys wrestling meets at Oskaloosa and the ADM Tiger Invitational they will take the mat against a challenging Pella Wrestling team tonight.

The Mustangs wrestling team defeated Oskaloosa 69 to 12 in a dual and then saw six wrestlers place first at the ADM Tiger Invite. That successful momentum will have to carry into tonight in a dual against Pella. Head Coach Corey Stratton tells Raccoon Valley Radio Sports about the significance of this matchup.

“Yeah Pella Is it one of the tougher teams in our conference? So we’re excited to go there on Thursday and wrestle them and we’re excited to hopefully continue the momentum. We’ve kind of gathered this last week with Oskaloosa and Adell Tournament and kind of hopefully keep things rolling on Thursday and then into Saturday at the Urbandale tournament.”

The wrestling meet will get started at 5:30 in Pella, barring the impeding weather conditions canceling or delaying the match.
