A Jefferson man was recently arrested for an August 2022 alleged incident.
According to court documents, Jefferson Police Officers responded to a call at Washington Park on August 30th at 5:01pm of a complaint that then 38-year-old Eric Rosenow was being a nuisance. Rosenow claimed to officers that he was picking up trash in the park. Officers were then notified that Rosenow had an arrest warrant from Hamilton County.
Court documents show that when officers arrested Rosenow for the Hamilton County warrants, they searched his person and Rosenow admitted to having a smoking device that was used for methamphetamine that was on him. As Rosenow was being transferred into the Greene County Jail, his black bag that he had with him was also searched and one of the items contained a green leafy substance that turned out to be marijuana. The glass smoking device was submitted to the Criminalistics Laboratory for testing, and the results came back positive for methamphetamine on October 19th.
Rosenow was charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine and a serious misdemeanor for first offense for possession of marijuana. He was arrested on Saturday and booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
