One Iowa Senator has been busy during the early part of the 90th Iowa General Assembly working on some legislation.
Iowa Senator for District 12 Amy Sinclair tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she has two bills that she has worked on herself.
“So honestly, the only bill I have individually drafted so far is one that would create a Gadsden Flag license plate, just because I’ve seen them in a few other states and I thought it would be fun to add that to Iowa’s license plate offerings. I’m (also) working on a landfill issue, for issues that rose up in Madison County with that tornado.”
Sinclair says that she hasn’t endorsed anything else yet, and doesn’t plan to endorse anything unless it involves a county in her district. She adds that she doesn’t want her position as Senate President to influence a vote either way on any bills coming forward.
