With a new year brings some hopeful home renovation projects in Greene County.

Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for its Helping Hands program, where Habitat volunteers make repairs to occupied homes in Greene County. Executive Director Ron Christensen shares the projects that were done last year.

“We were able to put in a handicap accessible ramp for a family so that they could stay in their home rather than having to move out into a more accessible living arrangement. We’re also able to renovate a garage and paint it, just fix it up for folks. Just things like that.”
