The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board at their latest meeting approved iPad purchases for their students and teachers.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe says that they have bought 200 iPads for Adel Elementary students for $58,800. He says that currently they only have enough iPads for two students to use one.
“So the demands for students to be able to get on devices and do work, especially surrounding our math and literacy work, have increased. So we needed additional iPads for our kids at Adel Elementary and kindergarten first grade. So this purchase of 200 iPads will allow us to be one to one.”
Dufoe says the Board also approved updated iPads for teachers to help them better present and instruct their lessons for close to $15,000.
