With the new legislative session starting recently, Iowa lawmakers will be looking to vote on some bills, and hopefully have them pass.
Iowa Representative for District 23 Ray “Bubba” Sorensen tells Raccoon Valley Radio there are a few bills he’s looking forward to working on with the Economic Growth and Technology Committee, of which he is the chair. He says that property tax relief is something that he’s heard from several constituents about, and not just his own but other state representatives as well.
Sorensen adds that a big part of running for reelection this past November was working on getting broadband internet available for all Iowans, especially in those areas that are severely underserved, or not served at all.
“I just think that as a state, if we’re all connected, we can head into the future a lot better. We can expand our economy a lot easier, and I just think it’s good for all of us.”
Another bill that Sorensen mentions he’s wanting to work on would help with improved consumer data protection.
