Friday night’s home basketball games for the Greene County Rams may have a little different feel with one of the opponent’s head coaches.

Greene County School District Activities Director David Wright tells Raccoon Valley Radio the public is encouraged to make cash donations to help the family of Saydel Head Boys Basketball Coach Nick Noring. Wright says the family lost their home and all of their belongings in a fire during winter break. 

Wright points out that Noring is a friend to Greene County Head Boys Basketball Coach Chris Nelson and he believes that more than that with Saydel being in the Heart of Iowa Conference, this is a great opportunity for the Greene County community to step up and lend a helping hand. 

Wright notes cash donations will be accepted throughout the evening tomorrow night, starting at 5pm with the junior varsity girls basketball game. He adds anyone who can’t make it to the games but who would like to make a donation can contact the high school.
