1-6

The Dallas Center-Grimes basketball team so far this season has done a magnificent job sharing the rock this year even leading the Little Hawkeye Conference with 100 assists and main contributor has been Sophomore Guard Tate Perrin.

Perrin is tied for second in the conference for assists per game at 4.3 and has a total of 26 assists this year. His best games passing the rock so far have been at home against Grinnel with six assist along with posting six assists versus Newton and Oskaloosa. Head Coach Joel Rankin notes that Jaden Jones is right behind Perrin in passes that lead to points in the conference.

“In our program. That’s a non-negotiable. We  are unselfish. We give up the Good shot for the great shot. At least that’s what we try to to preach. And so having them up at top of the conference, you know, with assists is definitely something that I’m proud of. And I know that they’re happy with that, too. They’d rather be up there with assists than even points, knowing those two guys.”

Jaden Jones has 25 assists this year for an average of 4.2 per game. The wait continues until the next Dallas Center-Grimes basketball game which will be on January 3rd at Norwalk and if you can’t make it out to the game make sure you stay updated on the action by listening to the KDLS-2 live stream at Raccoon Valley Radio.com.
