Panora Mayor Pat Parker is happy with some projects that the city had in 2022.

Parker tells Raccoon Valley Radio that one of the big projects the city worked on was the Clay Street Project. He says that the project opened another route of access to the Panorama Elementary School, and will make it easier for parents to pick up and drop off their children, and provide another route for emergency vehicles to make it to the building, should the need arise. Parker talks about some other possibilities. .

“It also opened up 18 new building lots for the city, within the city for people to move to town. Which is one of the things we were short on with some building lots. So that was a great thing that we had going on in the city.”

Parker says that some of those new lots will be used for residential purposes. Region XII Council of Governments will be bringing in four new houses, including two single family homes, and a duplex. He adds that besides those four homes, there are some lots owned by citizens that are getting started on constructing new homes as well.
