Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers athletics in 2022 was able to find a very special year in multiple sports, and this week, we break down the accomplishments of various programs.

Both the ADM boys and girls golf teams were able to put together strong years, with both teams able to qualify for state.

The boys were able to find a third place finish out of ten teams up in Decorah, as the Tigers were able to finish with a team score of +89 in the two day event. Sam Hlas was able to lead the way for the Tigers with a seventh place finish of +16. Easton Korell was able to grab a top 10 finish in the event with a +17 score. Finn Garton, Lincoln Banwart, Grant Jansen, and Carter Madison were all part of the third place team.

The girls were able to make it another year and played on their home course, where they finished 10th in the 3A field. They had a team score of +305. Monica Thomas was able to lead the way with a tied for 40th finish, getting a score of 208 in the two day event. The rest of the team included Cecelia Gardiner, Emma Mellencamp, Tess Kenny, Kendal Book, and Riley Keller.

Both programs were able to put together a ton of wins throughout the year, getting high finishes in tournaments, and played some great golf in often tougher course conditions last spring.

It was a great year for both of the programs, and both will be returning some good talent this upcoming spring as they will be looking to put together a strong effort overall.
