As more snow falls many will want to get out and enjoy themselves in the outdoors.

One way to do that is to ride around on snowmobiles and other off road vehicles. Guthrie County Recorder Tristen Richard says that a deadline for all snowmobile and off road vehicle owners to be watching for is December 31st. That’s the day that any current registration will expire, and anyone driving without it can be fined or ticketed in the next year.

Richard says that to get vehicles registered or to renew their registration, owners will need to bring in a bill of sale, and a manufacturer’s statement of origin for a new machine or a signed title if they are buying a used one. Once at the Recorder’s office, vehicle owners will need to present the information and fill out an application.
