A local business in the listening area made a strong contribution to nearby food pantries.

Raccoon Valley Bank recently made a donation of $2,500 to four food pantries including Perry, Adel, Grimes and Dallas Center. President Terry Nielsen tells Raccoon Valley Radio they have noticed the need the food pantry has and wanted to help.

“Ever since, probably around when COVID(19) hit. This is something we felt pretty passionate about to give back to our local communities where we have branches and mostly all of Dallas County, and we’re very proud to make a donation of $2,500 to each of the four food pantries for a total investment of around $10,000. And we’re happy to do this again in 2022.”

Nielsen says this was the second year of giving back to the food pantries and they intend to carry on that tradition next year.
