Friday, December 16th

3:01am: An officer assisted with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of North Wilson Avenue.

6:16am: The GCMC requested a Welfare Check on an employee, who had not arrived at work. The officer made contact with the employee, who was home sick.

7:09am: An officer investigated an accident at Lincoln Way and North Cedar Streets. A 2018 Nissan Altima, owned and operated by Joshua Tuel of Jefferson, was southbound on North Cedar Street. Tuel could not stop at the posted stop sign at Lincoln Way Street and slid through the stop, due to road conditions. Tuel collided with a westbound vehicle. The 2020 Hino was owned by Amazon and operated by Kolton Kerston of Fort Dodge. The Tuel vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages. The Amazon truck suffered very minor damages.

10:02am: ER requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street for a subject who walked out before being discharged. The officer was able to get the subject to return to ER to be properly discharged.

11:48am: An officer investigated a Rear End Accident in the 100 Block of North Wilson Ave. A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, owned and operated by Keri Guess-Wolfe of Jefferson, had backed from a parking spot and was beginning to travel South. A 2021 Honda CR-V, owned by Sioux City Motors and operated by Linda Hoyle of Churdan struck the rear of the Guess-Wolfe vehicle. Each vehicle had only minor damages.

3:06pm: The Wild Rose casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Drive for a despondent subject. The officers coaxed the subject to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.

4:43pm: Jason Truitt reported a vehicle unsafely pulling another vehicle with a chain on 220th Street. The officer did not locate the vehicles.

4:36pm: Michael Eastman spoke with an officer about a Civil Property Issue occurring at 201 East Perry Street.

6:55pm: ER requested an officer to take a patient back to his vehicle at 777 Wild Rose Drive. The officer provided the transport.

7:23pm: Jeff Niles reported a van parked at the ATM at 208 North Elm Street, that will not move after he honked at them. The officer spoke to the subject and learned he was making repairs to the ATM.

9:36pm: An officer responded to a Fire Alarm Activation at 771 Wild Rose Drive. A subject was found to be smoking, which set off the alarm. No fire was occurring.

Saturday, December 17th

2:35am: An officer assisted a deputy with a One Vehicle Accident near N Ave. and 160th Street.

2:18pm: Anthony Shaw reported someone had hacked into his Social Media Accounts and was sending photos of him around the platforms. The officer advised him to close his accounts and open new ones.

9:03pm: A caller reported hearing a loud explosion in the 100 Block of West Madison Street. The officer did not locate the source of the noise.

Sunday, December 18th

8:11am: Casey’s requested an officer at 508 North Elm Street for an unruly customer. The spoke to the store clerks and the subjects involved. The store advised them to leave and not return to the business in the future.

10:14am: A caller advised they had located an unopened syringe needle in the parking lot at Greenewood Homes. The subject had already discarded the needle in the waste. The officer took no action.

4:09pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a dog outside in the 1400 Block of Southfield Drive. The officer spoke to the owner and checked on the animal. The animal was fine and only goes outside for restroom reasons.
