With the current storm moving through the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area, residents can expect some cooler temperatures. Weatherology Meteorologist Ray Miller tells Raccoon Valley Radio what kind of temperatures to expect.
“It is going to get quite chilly, especially as we head into the weekend. What’s happening is as this low pressure system moves off to the east, we’ll have northwesterly winds on the backside of that, and northwest winds draw down colder air from Canada and the Arctic. Our usual high temperature this time of year is right around 32 degrees, and as we look ahead to Friday and Saturday in particular, highs likely only in the low to mid 20’s. So we’re talking about eight to ten degrees below average as we head into the weekend.”
Miller says that clouds and wind should be what to expect to accompany the cold. He adds that temperatures should pick back up starting on Sunday, climbing into the upper 20’s by the beginning of the week.
