Governor Kim Reynolds has appointed a new individual to the bench for the judicial district that includes Greene County.
Reynolds appointed Kathryn Austin to be a district associate judge for Judicial Election District 2B. Austin currently serves as an Assistant Marshall County Attorney. The Eldora resident received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University, followed by her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. Austin will fill a vacancy from the retiring District Associate Judge Kim Riley.
The Judicial Election District 2B includes Greene, Boone, Hamilton, Carroll, Hardin, Calhoun, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Story, Marshall, Sac, Webster, and Wright counties.
