As Christmas Day closes in, there’s still time for Greene County youngsters to get their wish lists to Santa Claus.
Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Executive Director Matt Wetrich says Santa’s mailbox, where kids can drop off their letters, has been moved to a new location.
“Santa’s mailbox this year is over at Warm Wishes. If you’re not familiar with Warm Wishes, it’s a new sort of stationary cards and other fun stuff shop on the northeast corner of the square. It’s sitting right outside Warm Wishes, so make sure you drop your letter off to Santa and be sure that you include your return address so Santa knows where to write your kiddos back.”
Santa was at last weekend’s Winter Festival Celebration of Trees and says he is very busy this time of year and encourages kids to tell him what they want for Christmas.
“Just take anytime and write a letter to Santa and put it in that box and they’ll give it to me and I can deliver your presents right to your house.”
Another reminder with the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County is today is the last day for their “tag a tree” event. The public is invited to write their wish on a tag and place it on their tree outside of the Welcome Center. Two tags will be pulled off and each will receive $25 in Chamber Checks.
