The Greene County High School Music Department once again invites the public to their 40th Annual Dessert Concert.

The event is Monday at 7:30pm at the high school auditorium. The high school concert and jazz bands will perform first and Director Wes Anderson tells Raccoon Valley Radio the jazz ensemble has 20 students that have worked on their music since September and the 45-member concert band started rehearsing their songs at the end of October.

Then the audience can enjoy a variety of desserts in the commons areas during intermission before the choir groups take the stage in the auditorium. During intermission, the 13-student jazz choir, Jazzatonics, will perform. Finally, Choir Director Dave Heupel says about 60 students in concert choir will sing various songs, which they’ve been rehearsing since the end of October. The performance will end with Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus where any choral alumni are invited to join them on stage.

The Dessert Concert is open to the public and admission is $5 per person.
