The AC/GC Chargers played host to the Van Meter Bulldogs Tuesday night. The girls team was able to snap a losing streak dating back to 2012 against the Bulldogs, defending the home court with a ten point win.

The Chargers pulled ahead in the first quarter and heading into the second with an 8-5 lead. They were outscored in the second though, and went into halftime trailing 15-19. AC/GC turned things around in the third quarter, retaking the lead and going into the final quarter with a score of 31-25. The team kept things going in the fourth, and finished the game with a 47-37 victory.

The boys team played a good first half, scoring 18 points in both the first two quarters, heading into halftime with a 36-31 lead. Van Meter switched things up after the break though, and started playing a zone defense. The Chargers were outscored 19-6 in the third quarter, and 20-11 in the fourth. AC/GC ended up with their first defeat of the season, losing the game 53-70.
