One community in Dallas County is throwing a party for the holiday seasons this weekend. 

The DeSoto Community Holiday Party is sponsored by the DeSoto Public Library and the party will take place at the Intermediate School on Saturday from 10am till noon. There will be crafts, games, face painting, cookie decorating and free holiday books will be given away. Santa will make a special appearance. This event is free and open to all ages.
