It was a tough back and forth contest on Tuesday night as the season opener was highly entertaining between ADM and DCG, and Hudson Ehlert was able to come away as the hero as the Mustangs were able to win at the buzzer by the score of 48-46.
ADM and DCG were able to play a close game, as ADM was able to get out to an 18-1o lead in the first quarter of play but DCG was able to find some quality defense later in the half to take a 28-25 halftime lead.
The Tigers and Mustangs both put up nine points in the third quarter, before both teams traded buckets in the fourth quarter with DCG taking a six point lead, but ADM was able to chip away with Bennett Holmberg hitting free throws then a floater, then following an ADM stop, the Tigers found Vince Benetti with six second left to tie the game, but DCG raced to the other end where Ehlert was able to hit the buzzer beater.
Vince Benetti was able to lead ADM in scoring with 16, while Calix Cahill was able to lead DCG in scoring.
The victory was the seventh straight in the series for the Mustangs.
ADM will be on the hunt for their first win of the season on Friday night, when they make the trip to Huxley to take on the Ballard Bombers.
