Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball opens up the season tonight when they take on the Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs at home in what should be an intriguing contest. It’s the first game of the season for both teams. ADM went 9-13 from a season ago while DCG is the defending 3A state champions and was able to finish 22-5 overall.

ADM is projected to return four starters from last year and the majority of their rotation, while DCG has one starter returning and is expected to reload with a lot of talent in the program.

DCG has had good success recently in the series as they have won six straight in the series and are 20-7 overall since 2006-07, as the Tigers will be looking for the first win in the series since 2018.

Tiger basketball will be looking to dictate pace, find great looks, and show discipline in their first game of the season, as they look for good success in the 2nd year of the Trevor Mickelson era.
