A deadline is fast approaching for some food service entities to be in compliance with the state.
Greene County ISU Extension is hosting a ServSafe class for those in the restaurant, school cafeteria, or nursing home food service industry in Iowa. Extension Director Lori Mannel talks about this program.
“It is a certified food protection program that is required every five years with the Iowa Restaurant Association. An ISU dietitian comes and presents on this class. So if you’re out there with a commercial kitchen and you need to renew or you’re not sure, look at their certificate and make sure that if you need to renew it, now is the time to do it.”
The class takes place on December 13th from 9am-6:30pm at the Extension Office in Jefferson. Deadline to register is Monday, November 21st. The cost to attend is $160 and you can click the link below to sign up.
