The annual Jefferson Rotary Auction is this Friday.
The event will once again feature an online and live auctions. The online auction is now open and you can click the link below to start bidding on items. There are over 60 items to bid on currently, with more added daily. Bidding closes the night of the event on Friday, in which the live auction will take place at the Greene Room Events Center with Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson.
Friday night begins with a social hour at 5:30pm, with dinner to be served at 6:30pm, and the auction will follow the meal. Jefferson Rotary President Susan Laehn invites everyone to support their auction as they continue to provide funding for worthy causes and projects throughout the year, including this past year.
“We have done that through traditional grant cycles, where organizations can apply for those funds. We also saved proceeds from a couple years of auctions and gave $50,000 toward the construction of the dog park at the (new) animal shelter. We provide college scholarships to students from our community.”
In its 23 years, the Jefferson Rotary Club has raised more than $650,000 that has been given back to Greene County, the Rotary International Foundation and across the globe.
Tickets for the in person Friday event are $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight. You can purchase tickets online or from any Rotarian. Click the link below to purchase tickets and/or to bid for the online auction items.
