Adel-DeSoto-Minburn football team will be playing in the state semifinals today, when they take on the Harlan Cyclones in the state semifinal of class 3A football this afternoon. Both teams enter with the same record at 10-1, ADM losing in week 7 to Harlan and Harlan losing back in week 1 to Lewis Central.
ADM is coming off of a 68-42 point victory over North Polk while Harlan is coming off of a 55-7 victory over Nevada.
The Tigers fell 42-7 in the first matchup, as they were held to numerous season lows including points, yards total, and explosive plays. The Tigers have put up at least 250 rushing yards in every game this year outside of the Harlan matchup.
These are the top two scoring teams in 3A, with Harlan averaging 49.2 points per game and ADM is averaging 47.2 points per game.
ADM will be focused on a lot of different things in order to find a victory today, which will include finding a way to win special teams, winning the turnover battle, and making sure that they limit giant plays against a Harlan team has big play ability in the passing game.
