The City of Perry is putting together a large event to thank those who served.
The Perry Veterans Day Program will start complimentary breakfast from 6 to 10am at the Perry HyVee and this meal is free for those veterans, active service members and the National Guard and reserve personnel. Then there will be a chamber coffee to meet and thank those veterans and active service members at the Perry HyVee from 8 to 9am. The 32nd Annual Perry High School Social Studies Department will have a presentation with a panel of Perry Area Veterans of Foreign Wars at the Perry Performing Arts Center from 8:45 to 9:45. The moderator will be Gary Overla. After the panel, there will be the 24th Annual Veterans Day Celebration at 10am in the Perry Performing Arts Center. Finally, there will be a Veterans Day Luncheon in the Perry Gymnasium.
