The unofficial results have been announced from the general election in Dallas County.
There was one seat for the Dallas County Supervisors up for a contested election for District one and incumbent Republican Brad Golightly had 55 percent of the vote defeating Democrat Robert Greenway.. Also Dallas County Recorder position was contested and Republican ReNae Arnold won with 55 percent of the votes over Benjamin Litton. Republican incumbent Carter Nordman will remain the State Representative for District 47 with 55 percent of the vote over Gary Overla. Nordman tells Raccoon Valley Radio he wants to continue to deliver for Iowans.
“Well, I look forward to continuing to serve the people of District 47. I am honored to have not only their support but their trust and will continue to deliver on the results that they send me to the Capitol to do.”
There was a contested race for the State Senator District 14 position and Democrat Sarah Trone Garriott was able to defeat incumbent Republican Jake Chapman with 51 percent of the vote. Alone with Republican David Young defeating Democrat Sonya Heitshusen with 53 percent of the vote for the State Representative District 28 position.
The election results will be unofficial until the County Board of Supervisors canvass the votes next week. You can find the full unofficial results here:
