Friday, November 4th

4:03am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1800 Block of North Grimmell Road.

11:57am: The Super 8 requested assistance with an elderly female, who was unable to pay for her room any longer. Officers and DHS assisted in the matter.

4:02pm: Angela Wadsworth reported she loaned her 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer to a friend on 11/02/2022. She advised the friend was at 606 Hwy. 30 East and the vehicle suffered damage. The other vehicle left the area. The officer is working to investigate the matter. The vehicle suffered a reported $1000.00 in damages.

5:00pm: Chris Quirk reported a Hit & Run Accident, which had occurred at 600 West Lincoln Way Street. The 2003 Ford F350 is owned by Chad Stevens of Jefferson. The vehicle had a reported $1000.00 in damages. The officer is investigating.

6:35pm: Kay Taylor reported finding a BB Gun in her belongings while packing to move. She turned the gun over to the officer for destruction.

7:14pm: A Crisis Center advised of a possible suicidal female, who had called their hotline and hung up. They believed it to be a Greene County phone number. Officers learned the subject is in Peoria, Ill. Information was forwarded to that jurisdiction.

8:39pm: An officer assisted a motorist at Grimmell and Lincoln Way Street, who had run out of gasoline.

9:16pm: A caller advised of a vehicle on 220th Street, heading west towards Jefferson, which has only one headlight. The officer performed a Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm Street and advised the subject his headlight was out.

10:04pm: Stephanie Bickle reported her juvenile daughter had not been seen since she left for school in the morning. As the officer was gathering information, the juvenile returned home.

10:07pm: Jessica McKim reported finding three juvenile males attempting to get into her vehicle at 500 South Wilson Ave. The subjects had left the area. The officer did not locate the reported subjects.

Saturday, November 5th

1:35am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.

7:26am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 200 American Ave. The building was secure.

11:45am: Janelle Wright reported a piece of rebar sticking up from the concrete at the Grimmell Road RR Crossing. The UPPR was contacted to make repairs.

1:16pm: A caller advised of a fox in the 100 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

3:30pm: Parker Demello reported he caught a Stray Dog at 402 North Vine Street, but the owner had arrived and took the animal.

6:50pm: Kelsie Miller reported receiving a text message from a Suicidal Subject. The officer learned the subject lives in the county and forwarded the information to the Sheriff’s Office.

7:45pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Drive for an intoxicated subject. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Colton Patrick Bishop, 26 of Des Moines for, “public Intoxication – Simple.”

7:54pm: The Wild Rose Casino reported another intoxicated subject at 777 Wild Rose Drive. A deputy responded, as the officer was busy with the previous entry.

9:16pm: Carol Schultz reported her vehicle was missing from 1901 North Grimmell Road. She had attended a play at the school and had parked her vehicle beside another one, which was very similar to hers. That vehicle was still present. The officer determined the subject had indeed taken the wrong vehicle home and it was present at her residence. She brought the vehicle back to the school and the switch was made.

Sunday, November 6th

11:50am: Logan Steadman reported a Careless Driver on a motorcycle, which was westbound on 220th Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

Monday, November 7th

7:50am: Mike Coil advised an unknown male had arrived at 100 East Vest Street and advised he was looking to buy narcotics. Coil could not provide a description of the male.

11:20am: Jill Durksen reported Harassment occurring to her juvenile son from a known female juvenile. It was reported that the female juvenile had pointed a gun at her son while he was at the female’s residence. The officer is investigating.

1:28pm: Alexa Anthony reported a male walking near Harrison and Vine Streets, which kept falling down as he walked. The officer did not locate the reported subject.

3:30pm: Brittany Cook advised her adult sister was missing. She had reported this to Nebraska authorities, but had not heard anything back. The officer made some calls and learned the sister was currently incarcerated in Nebraska. The officer provided Brittany with this information.

4:49pm: Anthony DeMello reported following a vehicle on 220 th Street, heading east to Jefferson, which had an unsecured child walking around in the vehicle. Officers did not locate the vehicle in Jefferson.

6:51pm: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 call from 705 West Harrison Street. The officer learned a child was playing with a phone and no assistance was needed.

6:58pm: The sheriff’s office requested an officer to cover a Car vs. Deer Accident at 220 th and R Ave. A 2018 Ford Explorer, owned by Harrison Johnston of Grand Junction and operated by Bayllie Flynn of Grand Junction, struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle suffered a reported $2500.00 in damages.

7:12pm: Norwalk PD requested an officer to go to 103 South Walnut Street and pick up a Missing Juvenile from their city. The officer picked up the juvenile, who was picked up by parents at the LEC.
